Meet our leadership team
Stephen Delaney, Managing Director
Managing Director
Stephen Delaney was appointed CEO of Q1 Scientific in 2018 and became Managing Director in 2022 following the acquisition by Cambrex. Under the leadership of Stephen, Q1 Scientific has gone on to win ‘Contract Services Company of the Year’ at the Pharma Industry Awards 2020 and most recently ‘Business of the Year’ at the Waterford Chamber Business Awards 2021. In 2022 and 2023, Stephen led the site expansion in Waterford to 30,000 square feet while opening a second 20,000 square feet facility in Belgium. As Managing Director of a leading provider of temperature-controlled stability storage which is part of the supply chain for many of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, Stephen understands the demands and critical conditions required for pharmaceutical storage and cold chain logistics. Stephen obtained his degree in Materials Technology and Engineering from the University of Limerick in 2010. He holds a Master’s degree from Smurfit Business School in Business Management.
Cécile Jacoby, General Manager at Q1 Scientific in Belgium
General Manager, Q1 Scientific Belgium
Cécile Jacoby joined Q1 Scientific as General Manager in 2023 to manage our 20,000 square feet facility in Belgium. With more than 25 years of experience in senior strategic and operations roles across pharmaceutical, vaccine, healthcare and cell therapy companies, Cécile has a proven track record in developing, driving and managing business operations. After working at Director level in GSK for over 10 years, Cécile became a Senior Executive Consultant delivering several worldwide assignments to pharmaceutical, R&D and biotechnology companies. Cécile also took over the general management of a Belgian Biotech group’s subsidiary and an industrial group’s holding company.
